Two more months left til the opening of the first World Cup in the continent of Africa. Various media have begun to broadcast features on South Africa as well as the whole African continent. To all of us who have been working to help & support Africa, this is one of the great chances to spread awareness to the realities of Africa, even amongst those that were unreachable or unachievable through our past activities. Yet in Japan, activities by NGOs are scarcely featured, which makes it extremely difficult for most of the NGOs to acknowledge the public on what they actually do. Considering such state, we are proud to announce that a photo exhibition involving various NGOs making action in Africa is been confirmed to be held right before the opening of the World Cup, with dedicated cooperations from “Time Out Caf & Diner” and “Liquidroom” in Ebisu, Tokyo.
All the NGOs involved in this photo exhibition are those that actually do activities in the continent of Africa. We hope that more people would be aware of the realities of Africa, the lifestyles of people living there, and the activities conducted by the NGOs involved, through these photographs.
People in Africa, who are born in the same period on this same planet but live in harsh realities only because they happened to born in Africa. There are so many people who are in need, and cannot live without the aid and support from others. In order to make more people acknowledge the existence of realities that are so different from what they live in, and the fact that there are Japanese people who are really working hard to make a change, we cordially ask for your cooperation & support to the exhibition this time.
Any and all donations and sponsor fees collected through this exhibition will be equally divided amongst the NGOs involved.
